It’s Official: Kim Coleman is Running for Congress
West Jordan, UT – Before a packed audience of nearly 130 energetic and determined supporters, Republican state legislator Kim Coleman announced Saturday morning that she is running for Congress in Utah’s 4th Congressional District.
In her announcement speech, Coleman made it clear that she will be the people’s congresswoman. “It is time to restore balance between the people of this district and their elected representation in Washington,” Coleman stated. “This is our backyard Congressional Watch meeting.
Coleman’s speech drew several distinctions between her record and that of Democrat Ben McAdams, the current 4th Congressional District representative. Unlike McAdams, Coleman actually lives in the 4th district. Unlike McAdams, Coleman opposes the partisan impeachment of President Trump. Unlike McAdams, Coleman has fought against unnecessary tax increases and expansions of government.
"It is time to restore Utah’s 4 th Congressional District to Republican hands, not because we are Republicans, but because of who we are and what we believe. It is time to restore balance between the PEOPLE of this district and their elected representation in Washington."
As the clear frontrunner for the Republican nomination, Coleman enjoys broad support. Endorsements from various conservative organizations line the walls of her campaign headquarters, all touting her unmatched credentials. Visitors to her headquarters are greeted by a cardboard cutout of President Trump donning a “Kim Cares” hat. Most importantly, Saturday’s event proves that her campaign enjoys a vibrancy that is typically not seen until election night – yet it’s only January.
